“Waplog”, “we”,”us”,”our”, "Service" we believe in being clear and open about how we collect and use data related to you. In the spirit of transparency, this policy provides detailed information about how and when we use cookies. This cookie policy applies to any Waplog product or service that links to this policy or incorporates it by reference.

This Cookie Policy does not govern the use of the Sites, nor the processing of Personal Information (as defined in our Privacy Policy) collected on the Sites. Please read our Terms of Service for more information about the terms governing the Sites. For more information about how we process your Personal Information on the Sites and when you make use of or interact with our Services, please consult our Privacy Policy.

  1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser as you browse the internet. They can be used to collect, store, and share data about your activities across websites, including on Waplog. Cookies also allow us to remember things about your visits to Waplog, like your preferred language, and to make the site easier to use. Most importantly cookies are also used to protect you.

We use both session cookies, which expire after a short time or when you close your browser, and persistent cookies, which remain stored in your browser for a set period of time. We use session cookies to identify you during a single browsing session, like when you log into Waplog. We use persistent cookies where we need to identify you over a longer period, like when you request that we keep you signed in.

We use cookies and similar technologies like web beacons, pixel tags, to deliver, measure, and improve our services in various ways. We use these cookies both when you visit our site and services through a browser and through our mobile and desktop web. As we adopt additional technologies, we may also gather additional data through other methods. Web beacons help us determine which email messages are opened, and cookies help us see how you interact with Waplog, like the links you click on.

You can set your web browser to alert you about attempts to place cookies on your computer, limit the types of cookies you allow, or refuse cookies altogether. If you do, you may not be able to use some or all features of the Services, and your experience may be different or less functional.

  2. Does Waplog use cookies?

Yes. As described in Section 3.1 of our Privacy Policy, we use cookies and other technologies to ensure everyone who uses our services has the best possible experience. By continuing to visit or use our services, you are agreeing to the use of cookies and similar technologies for the purposes we describe in this policy.

  3. Why does Waplog use cookies and similar technologies?

Like most providers of online services, we use cookies to provide, secure and improve our services, including by remembering your preferences, recognizing you when you visit our website and personalizing and tailoring ads to your interests. To accomplish these purposes, we also may link information from cookies with other personal information we hold about you. Cookies also make your interactions with Waplog faster.

    Analytics cookies

These cookies help us understand how our website is being used, how effective marketing campaigns are, and help us customize and improve our websites for you.

    Advertising cookies

These cookies are used to make advertising messages more relevant to you. These cookies are used to enable you to share pages and content that you find interesting on our website through third-party social networking and other websites. These cookies may also be used for advertising purposes too.

    1. Analytics cookies

We work with a number of analytics partners, including Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, who use cookies and similar technologies to help us analyze how users use the Services, including by noting the sites from which you arrive. Those service providers may either collect that data themselves or we may disclose it to them.

You can opt out of some of these services through tools like the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

    2. Advertising cookies

Cookies and other ad technology such as beacons, pixels, and tags help us serve relevant ads to you more effectively. They also help us provide aggregated auditing, research, and reporting for advertisers, understand and improve our service, and know when content has been shown to you. Note: Because your web browser may request advertisements and beacons directly from third party ad network servers, these networks can view, edit, or set third party cookies, just as if you had requested a web page from their site. Ads served by Waplog may also set third party cookies.

If you are logged in on Waplog.com, or another Service that references this Cookie Policy or browsing a third party partner site of Waplog and one of our cookies on your device identifies you, your usage (such as your browsing behavior) and log data (such as your IP address), will be associated by us with your account as noted in Sections 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3 of our Privacy Policy. We also use aggregate data from third parties and data from your profile and Waplog activity.

Unless you clear these cookies from your browser, we may use this information to:

      • provide more relevant, interest-based advertising
      • provide aggregate reports of ads activity to advertisers and websites hosting the ads
      • help website and app owners understand how visitors engage with their sites or apps
      • detect and defend against fraud and other risks to protect users and partners
      • improve our products

We may use cookies to show you relevant advertising both on and off the Waplog site. We may also use a cookie to learn whether someone who saw an ad later visited and took an action (e.g. downloaded a white paper or made a purchase) on the advertiser’s site. Similarly, our partners may use a cookie to determine whether we’ve shown an ad and how it performed, or provide us with information about how you interact with ads. We may also work with a partner to show you an ad on or off Waplog, such as after you’ve visited a partner’s site or application. We work with a number of advertising partners, including DFP, ADX, Criteo, Adsense.

To learn more about targeting and advertising cookies and how you can opt out, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org/manage-cookies/index.html, or if you’re located in the European Union, visit the Your Online Choices site.

Please note that where advertising technology is integrated into the Services, you may still receive advertising on other websites and applications, but it will not be tailored to your interests.

When using mobile and desktop web you may also receive tailored in-app advertisements. Apple iOS, Android OS, and Microsoft Windows each provide its own instructions on how to control in-app tailored advertising. For other devices and operating systems, you should review your privacy settings or contact your platform operator.

    3. Security Cookies

We use Cloudflare _cfduid cookie as an identification for our firewall to help handle an increased request load. They are stored for a year and are part of permanent and Protocol Cookies. The _cfduid cookie is used to identify individual clients behind a shared IP address and apply security settings on a per-client basis. The cookie allows us to identify that client and not challenge them again. It does not correspond to any user ID in your web application, and does not store and personally identifiable information. This cookie is strictly necessary for Cloudflare’s security features and cannot be turned off.
